Namaqua Flower Beach Camp – 11 August to 15 September 2025
No Flower Safari is complete without a visit to the Namaqua National Park in the Northern Cape, one of the most spectacular Floral Kingdoms in the world. Each spring, for a few brief weeks, vast expanses of arid land along South Africa’s western seaboard are transformed into vivid carpets of wildflowers, creating a kaleidoscopic explosion of color. These “super blooms” occur in deserts and arid landscapes worldwide, but few are as consistent or diverse as South Africa’s Flower Season.
Typically lasting only a few weeks between August and September, the flowers are annuals whose seeds lie dormant through the intense summer heat until the rains of the following year. The short-lived, ephemeral nature of this natural display just makes it all the more special. People tend to think of South Africa as a destination for viewing wild animals, but its wildflower blooms rival anything you might see on a typical safari.
You are invited to be part of our annual celebration, a tribute to the stunning beauty of nature’s vibrancy and a chance to share in this truly memorable experience far and wide.
